Coastal Marine was started by Fred and Pat Jayne in 1980. The two transplanted from Wilton CT. ?Early on, Fred and Pat put their expertise and personal interest into boating, having numerous boat lines and servicing Yamaha, Johnson/Evinrude, & Suzuki outboards. Their son, David was on board at the age of 12, working every day after school and weekends training with the areas best outboard technicians. In 1985, at the age of 18, David established himself as superior machinist and mechanic. Boat racing became his passion, winning several American Power Boat Assoc. National Championships. ?1986 David began his formal outboard training and in just a few years, achieved Master Technician status for Yamaha, Johnson & Evinrude. ?
